Ingredients

  • Kunafa dough: 11 grams
  • Cooked Kunafa: 11 grams
  • Pistachio cream: 32 grams
  • Melted dark chocolate: 30 grams
  • Whipping cream (35%): 160 grams
  • 3 Kiri cheese squares
  • Ground pistachio (for garnish)

Cooking steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Flip a cupcake pan upside down and wrap kunafa strings around each cup to create a cup or bowl shape.
  3. Bake the kunafa cups for 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath. Using a brush, coat the inside of the baked kunafa cups with the melted chocolate and chill them in the fridge.
  5. Mix the pistachio cream with the cooked kunafa bits. Add a spoonful of this mixture to each kunafa cup, cover with another layer of melted chocolate, and chill in the fridge again.
  6. Soften the Kiri cheese squares until creamy using a hand mixer. Add the whipping cream and whip in a stand mixer until you achieve a fluffy Kiri cream.
  7. Transfer the Kiri cream to a piping bag and pipe it into the kunafa cups.
  8. Garnish with ground pistachio and serve.
