Crunchy, golden Chicken-based Sambousek. An easy-to-make, hard-to-forget starter you must try now.
Ingredients
- 20-30 Kiri squares
- 4 diced onions
- ¼ cup sumac
- 2 tbsp garlic paste
- 250 g pulled chicken (cooked)
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 1 pack / 500 g Kullaj pastry
Cooking steps
- Drizzle olive oil in a pan
- Cook diced onions
- Sprinkle Sumac
- Add cooked chicken
- Add pine nuts
- Transfer mix to a bowl
- Mix in Kiri squares
- Brush Kullaj sheet with olive oil and sumac
- Top with second sheet and repeat
- Add a spoonful of the chicken Kiri mix
- Fold the dough into a sambousa rectangular shape
- Seal with egg wash
- Drizzle with olive oil
- Air fry until golden
